Terms of Service
The rules for using Wordly.
Last updated: October 8, 2026
These terms apply to your use of Wordly. Wordly is operated by [operator name not yet configured]. By creating an account or using Wordly you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.
1. The service
Wordly helps you learn languages by reading stories, tracking vocabulary, reviewing flashcards and following your progress. Translations, level estimates and recommendations are generated automatically and may contain mistakes; they are learning aids, not certifications.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old (or older if the law in your country requires it) to use Wordly.
- Give a valid email address and keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity on your account; tell us promptly if you think it has been compromised.
- One person per account.
3. Acceptable use
Please don't:
- break the law or infringe others' rights through Wordly;
- import or upload content you don't have the right to use, or content that is illegal or harmful;
- try to access other users' data, disrupt the service, get around usage limits or Premium access, or scrape or overload Wordly;
- resell or redistribute Wordly's content or service.
4. Content you import
You keep any rights you have in text you paste, upload or import. Imported content is private to your account. You give Wordly permission to store and process that content only to provide the service to you (for example to split it into words and show translations). You are responsible for having the right to use what you import — for example, importing an article for your own study.
5. Wordly's content
Wordly's software, design, stories, word lists and articles belong to Wordly or its licensors. You may use them for your own personal learning while using the service.
6. Third-party links and content
Wordly links to external sites, such as dictionaries and the podcasts and videos in Listen & Watch. We don't control or host that content and aren't responsible for it; those sites have their own terms.
7. Free plan and Premium
- The free plan includes a limited number of content imports per day.
- Premium is a recurring subscription sold and processed by Stripe through Link, whose terms also apply to your purchase. It renews automatically until cancelled; the price and renewal date are shown at checkout.
- You can cancel at any time from Account (“Manage billing”) or at link.com. Access continues until the end of the paid period.
- Refunds follow the policy shown at checkout and any rights you have under applicable consumer law.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep Wordly available and your data safe, but the service is provided “as is” and may occasionally be unavailable, change, or lose features. We may update these terms; if a change is significant we will tell you in the app, and continuing to use Wordly means you accept the updated terms.
9. Ending your use
You can stop using Wordly at any time and ask us to delete your account (see Data deletion). We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the service or other users at risk.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, Wordly is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by errors in translations, level estimates or third-party content. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that cannot be limited by law.
